A detailed explanation of the systems we sell – and the problems they treat – is offered below.Should you wish to learn more about any one of the systems, please feel free to contact us.
Well Pellet Chlorinator
 Removes odor and kills bacteria
Also used when there are large amounts of iron in the water as a complement to the iron unit – not instead of
Helps keep pipes clean by holding down iron build-up between the pump and filter

Chlorine Feed System
Removes odor, kills bacteria and is used instead of the Well Pellet System
Often used if the customer has a shallow well

Pot Ash Feed System
Balances pH levels to between 7.0-7.5
Used when there may be health issues in a home that require reduced sodium
No filtration
This system does not have sodium

Soda Ash Feed System
Balances pH levels to between 7.0-7.5
Does not increase the hardness of the water
No filtration

Charcoal Filter
Charcoal is the media that may be placed in either the traditional iron unit or acid unit
 Removes odor and chlorine
Can also be used to remove petroleum products

Sand Filters
Acid Correction System: Used when there is a small amount of sand present
In-Line Cartridge Filter: Small sediment filter that needs to be changed by the customer on a regular basis
Galvanized Tank: Tank used to filter sand out of the water supply when the sediment amount is higher.Recommended placement in front of the pressure tank in the water flow
Sand Separator: Used most often when the available space is limited

Birm
Media used to treat stubborn iron in traditional “iron units.”Typically, the media used to treat iron is calcium carbonate. If calcium carbonate cannot correct the problem, we can change the media to birm
Birm units are iron tanks that incorporate both Limestone Calcium and Birm (each job is unique and media ratios may vary depending on water contamination)
Iron Removal System
 Removes most odors (sulfur, etc.)
Removes iron from the water supply including both ferric and ferrous
Filters sediment down to 5 microns
 Helps correct the pH
 Helps eliminate any brown/yellow/red staining
Can convert the Iron Removal System to a Birm Unit and change the media mix to add Birm for more stubborn iron problems

Acid Correction System
(also referred to as a Neutralizer)
Corrects the acidity of the water (pH below 7.0)
Filters sediment (sand, particles, etc.) down to 5 microns
Helps remove any blue staining due to the corrosion of copper piping

Water Softener
 Removes hardness from the water
Can help eliminate iron to compliment an Iron Removal System
 Reduces manganese
Removes copper from water caused by pipe corrosion
Different resins can be added to a softener to treat some issues
such as tannin resin, etc.

R/O (Reverse Osmosis)
Removes organic color bodies from the water
Primary purpose of the R/O system is to remove 90-95% of the dissolved solids (or salts) in a stream of water
 Removes lead, nitrates, some petroleums
Only equipment that will remove salt from the water source

U/V Light (Ultra-Violet)
Ultraviolet light kills all bacteria and viruses
Requires no materials or media components other than a replaceable light-bulb to be changed annually
